Fida, 17, from Al-Hamah, Syria
I am married with my cousin since five months. We married in our village before we fled from Syria to Germany. Before the war we lived in a small, quiet an green village at a beautiful river. But now everything is destroyed. During the bayram holidays our whole family came together and celebrated together. I really miss this!

Sarah, 6, from Behsud, Afghanistan
My parents fled from Afghanistan to Iran before I was born. I don’t have any brothers or sisters but I have many friends here in the camp. Only girls! Because it is so cold outside we can not always play outside. But I like to ride with the bicycle.
I am here in Germany since 5 months with my family. Like most other refugees we took the route from Iran to Turkey, by boat to Greece and then the bus took us to Germany.
I never went to school because they allow no Afghani kids in school. I really want to go to school here to become a doctor afterwards.

Armin & Faromars, 10 from Afghanistan
I never had a chance to go to school, because my family fled from Afghanistan to Iran. They don't let anybody go to school there who is not Iranian. I hope I can go to school in Germany. My mum and dad are with me in the camp. A couple of days ago people gave me a bicycle and I learned to ride the bike. I'm so proud of myself!
